Jastine is a medication containing 10 mg of Ebastine per tablet, formulated to alleviate allergy symptoms without causing drowsiness.

Composition:

  • Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg of Ebastine BP.

Uses:

  • Provides relief from symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, such as a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.
  • Treats urticaria, characterized by itchy, red-colored skin rashes or welts.

Dosage:

  • Adults and children over 11 years: 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily.
  • Children 6-11 years: 5 mg (half tablet) once daily; up to 10 mg in severe cases.
  • Children 2-5 years: 2.5 ml (half teaspoonful) once daily; up to 5 ml in severe cases.
  • Jastine may be taken with or without food.

Side Effects:

  • Potential side effects include headache, dry mouth, drowsiness, and abdominal pain.
